Must say that i need a new look by/for the 1st of Dec. Couz wedding.
Been thinking of getting dreadlocks.. Or dye hair bright !!!

Its about time i get a tattoo. Been wanting to get a phoenix. Then saw this guy with a tattoo on his feet... and so i thought.. why not? haha. Or maybe an ace of spades?

My course's are nearing the finish line. Just a few more months... I guess, its a bitter sweet feeling.

I realised that it wold be great (i mean essential) that i learn chinese. Especially since i'm in need of subtitles most of the time...

Btw, this is the first year that i have not gone visiting anywhere for Deepavali! Not even my aunts house... Hope Christmas would be better...

Had some presentations last week. A short getaway over the weekend. A class test today. Project work due tmr.

iPod has a new line. New Specs, design and evan an iPod touch that looks like the iPhone!!!!
So, i think i don't want to get any iPhone any more! I want to get the iPod touch asap!

It was super interesting to follow a product launch. All the gossips, stolen official pictures... Apple.

I know what want. I know what i need. And what my parents need.
But its not like i don't want to do anything.

Yesterday wasn't the best of days. Like all i expect from people i pay money to is to have good service.
Some people just don't get it at all!

Today got a class test. Accounts. Eew.

Tomorrow a proposal is due, haven't even started on it.

So i went to park lane or wateva to get the books. (4X4) Thats alot. And damn heavy. 3 bags full. I got onto the bus somehow, and actually managed to get a seat. One of those days; the bus is so crowded. And cos of 3 ppl, i felt so bad.

But wat to do. Situation.

End of day i realised that i made a mistake. Its supposed to be 5 sets! Ahhh!

The weeks been great. Lots of fun. It's back to school.

Harry Potter was a great "no story". Esp since i don't read the series.

It seemed like a giant build-up to something. But nothing.

The past few days have been fun.

Melaka was ok.
Sentosa was developing (bad weather).
Ocean's 13 was nice. Shrek was damn funny.
And i think Zai might have found someone at KFC.

I really must thank Esther for the Broadcast module! I had loads of fun presenting on MMORPG for the sociology class.
Whats left is to do 2 reports. The law report seems about done, but i think i've exceded the word limit! oh ooh.

These projects and the "society" have made me think alot.

Perhaps... some things are better left unspoken.

Anyways, have a marketing test coming up this Friday. Well... at least i got the public holiday to study. Yay!

A interesting week it has been... Still working on 3 projects. Ahh! Is it possible to survey 1000 ppl. OK maybe not... 100 seems better...

Sat was cool. Was supposed to have steamboat dinner at marina south. But actually had dinner at Billy Bombers (M.Sq) ... my first there. The food seems nice, but not as special as i tot it would be, with all the hype about it.

Post dinner was interesting. Soon after, became chemically inconvenienced, to one of the greatest extent till date.

Break

I think i am in need of a break. I got back home yesterday with a huge headache. Din have dinner and couldn't sleep well.

Today morning.. things din change much. In fact, din feel like going to school.. but still... must go! So i went in, a little late. Decided to stay at the canteen to get a moment of rest.

Aft class, went to town with some classmates.. Saw this really interesting book.But my eye hurt so much that i couldn't read it well. OOh My! --> Hurts real bad when i cough.

And i have to add this : My com is real slow!!! Tell me about delayed display...

A&E

The day started like any other other...

Then, i received a call from dad. Mom hurt her knee really bad.

I met them just as they were about to enter A&E of TTSH.

For that one time, i saw my mom n had the most unexplainable feelings running thru me.

The pain was obvious. She's the type that never says its pain.

A first...

Saturday...

Went out to PS with someone! Had a great time. Watched Spidey 3 at 12.50am... So had lots of time before the movie. But i actually had nothing much to say. Or maybe i was just speechless. I wonder. The movie was interesting. The time was just so much more. I finally got home at 4+ am.

Sunday...

An average Sunday. I got up late. Duh, slept only at 4+ am. My sis n bro-in-law stayed over. I got just in time for tea.. about 3pm. Then i suggested that my family should go to the beach with the dog. And also for my grandfather. So we did, we went down to ECP. The wind was nice. The view was totally wonderful. The colours in the sky. I managed to take a picture of a rainbow. True beauty!

Monday...

Start of a new module. Marketing. Seems interesting, and i really hope that it would be. I wonder if there's going to be a practical project. Hum.

Well, media law class was the usual. I went in late, and the whole class was waiting for me to start (only got 4 other students - its a "class"). Aww. Actually it was cos the visualizer was not up and running. I think it needs my magic fingers. TA-DA!

After class, went down to Mac at Bishan with .... nvm. It was dinner. Had a great time. Drew a face on a nugget. The talking nugget. Not bad, yummy.

Eventually i got a bus. Reached home slightly after 12mn.

Media and I

Yesterdays accounts was not as bad as i expected it to be.

The tour around Mediacorp was super cool! The place is really nice and a lot of work goes on. We got to see the theatres, the set up, the editors' room, news room, radio room and even the studios.

We were at the editors area at about 8. Some videos were being edited for the Tamil news, which would start at 8.30. People were actually buzzing!

Watching the behind the scenes of the news was damn nice! We were at this room where the producers controls everything.. Not a very big room. But the work and the concentration the people had was serious. they actually count down to the news. And it starts. and since its live... things are more interesting. We actually get see what the newscaster does when shes not on the air.

Then guess what, we saw Ms. Cheryl Fox.! Wow. She's totally nice n sweet. More like a model!

I really loved the tour. Watching the recording of a Chinese drama serial was interesting. The set looks so real! A lot of details... and when its the actual recording, the whole place gets dead silent.

So its now Saturday. Its 2+. And i'm bored at home! I've been wondering what to wear, what to do, what to say... omg!

Good morning long island tea... I haven't really had a look at the a look at the book for accounts. Tmr's the exam. And tmr i'll be going to MediaCorp (note: not MediaCORPSE).

And now.. ive realised someting. I cant keep telling myself that i can be single. I cant tell myself that i'll never love someone.

It's been a very exciting day.

Accounts lesson was not too bad. As soon as that was done some friends and took a bus ride to Clemanti, then a train ride to Boon Lay. Jurong Point was nice. I think its my first time going there. The place is HUGE! Then after that, we went back to the MRT! A long train ride to City Hall. Then study at TCC @ City Link Mall. Then, we went to Esplanade. The view from the roof was nice as usual.

Then began the search to find an interesting to dine... after some enquires, we went to Marina Square. Dinner was at Carl's Jr.

And that was not the end. A short stay at Starbucks/Coffee Bean (wateva!) at Raffles Place...Then i got back home.

Its been awhile since I've done so much traveling. Had a great time. Thanks guys!

So now... its 12+am, and i got to get a good rest and meet some friends and classmates at the Museum. as i am known to be late... i have to be at least punctual this time!

The Night Job

It's been a while since I've gone on jobs at night, right till moments ago.

Work starts slightly after 9pm, at one of the food courts. Food courts are an interesting place. A variety of food. And a variety of much more. Today was one of the moments where i would want to be a vegetarian. Seeing all the horrid videos of livestock abuse and all and seeing split up poultry in front of you is two very different things.

Kinda reminds me of the anti-smoking campaign. And reading the related article on talking-cock is very interesting.

So anyways, back to work... After about 3 hours there, we move on to another food court located in a fast developing town. This is when i get totally tired and just want a drink.

On the way back home, i recalled what my loved one said... living and breathing, every moment - no matter what, it was about the company.

And i wonder ...

I've been not very busy. Haven't gone back to work for sometime now. Which leads to the obvious $$$! So i've got a list of jobs to do.

And i did the dumbest thing these few days:
1. I thought that the SIFF exhibit at the museum ended! Oops. (sori abt tat Zai n Sebas)
2. I spent unnecessarily for lunch at New York New York. (at least the iced bailey's chocz velvet was super nice!!)

I am bloody bored. I've been trying to absorb the accounts module. Its just like POA in sec sch. Just that i got about one month to get it all right, thats all.

Global Warming!

Had a presentation on Global Warming for the comm's module. As moments passed, i got more nervous. I went out for some fresh air. And guess what.... I actually came back all relaxed and confident. Simply going up there and presenting. So strange, i didnt know i could be so relaxed. Haha. I finally understood why, when Shelby told me this, I was well prepared.

I don't understand why some people were saying that they had to play the videos off the web, like from youtube... Creating lots of mess. Conclusion: Not everyone is aware of file rippers. (for education purpose.. hehe)

Btw, since its "Bring You Own Bag Day", i actually brought this environmentally friendly bag to class... looks interesting, but hey... it for a good cause. So wateva wateva...

Culture class was interesting. We had some class activity going on, DEBATE - positive and negative effects of mass-mediated comm's! And i dun recall every doing a debate... The topic was simple. And i considered myself to have an unfair advantage - the internet. The debate was really fun, i gained a lot of info...

Aft class was the surprise for Shelby and Alina. Well, Kind-of.

Saturday.

Saturday : Tamil New Year.

Got up in the morning s usual.Waited for my sis to come, but she was late as usual. She can only at abt 3pm. Then we all left for Kukup, Johor. Its actually near to Singapore, about 80+KM from the checkpoint. But the (side) road we took to get there was not a highway. A simple road. One lane from each side of the traffic. A road that had many turns.

After about 1 hour of travel, we reached this small town. We were directed to park inside this place, the High King Restaurant. It was the place we wanted to get to, as it was the only one that seemed to have nice reviews n appeared on of the programs on CH5! (i din know that, until i googled it!)

The place seemed nice. A neighborhood on stilts. Obvious that there was lots of fishing going on... The seafood wasn't what i expected it to be.

After the meal, it was time to head home... But we decided to take the more popular route home. Surprisingly it took much longer than expected. And the directional signs were barely visible. And the maps not detailed enough.

The worst part was that the 4LV gathering was @ 6pm. Obviously i was late, eventually i could not go... The second class gathering that i have missed. sigh.

So it been an interesting week. . .

School. Work. School.

I've been working on project proposals, project reports, annual reports, 1st quarter report... The workload is ok, but my laptop is just not up for it anymore. It can super lag! And i would be bloody dumb if it stalled in some presentation or something!

Todays Broadcast lesson. Unexpectedly, it was fun! Had a good time trying to be a news presenter! I'll be editing the video and making it look like some real news stuff.

Btw, i really wonder why.... These are actually lights! Its creative!

It was boring till evening. It was decided that we pass to my granny the bed. So we brought a bed frame to granny. So at first she was like... dispose the old sofa and place the bed there. My bro-in-law n I did so. Then guess what, she says that we got to bring the bed into her room! Ahh!

After lots of hard work and cleaning... it was done. --> My granny. I wonder why is she like that. She's got a list of stuff to get. We got her a sofa and a fan. And she says the fan is sooo small the wind can only reach her face. Lolz. The way shes says it is supper funny.

So now, must get a bigger fan. (maybe i should consider the industrial ones...haha) She also wants a TV rack...

What a day! Anyways granny... we'll try to make the house even better by the Indian New Year...

I meet Benson n the club for a farewell dinner at Marina South.. the DIY place... it was damn interesting, as always. I realized that someone could create a fire! A true attention grabber. The atmosphere there is so informal. Cool...

The after dinner stuff was ok. Definitely could have been better! Missed the late night prata thing..

Being bored as i was... I met my sis n got home shortly after. I i was wondering wats nice on Demand Tv. Its like.. um, seen that, have that, ooh it not available yet.

So it was Little Man. Had a great laugh. Truly funny stuff. Or was it the long island tea..

Well, so the next day! --> Today.

Am at home, haven't gone out anywhere. I'm stuck with my granddad! So i was watching this movie on Central, "Waqt". A really nice and meaningful story. Very moving. Can cause a spill of emotions. Tissues recommended!

So what am i going to do next?

Wednesday, interesting. Was all excited about the project for the media law module. doing a case study on a local film. 15. Have you actually heard of it, many have not. Doing a case study on film is really cool. But i learn some (?not so very?) interesting details. Censorship and Film Rating! Should i stay to the topic? And i almost mixed the media law and media society modules. Ahh! (How censorship affects society?)

Well, its already Thursday now. Have to sleep for about (4 hours of sleep) and get up at 6 for another long day. Cos the Friday class has been brought forward. Which mean class will end at 10pm!

Think about it. I need a break. I end at noon. Then i can use the time in between to complete my proposal and do some research. Oh what can be done for the broadcast module?

Its a short work week! Yah!

I currently feel damn exhausted. Got up early and went to school. Then rushed to the office. Its end of the month a/c. And i got to prepare stuff for a meeting. It was supposed to be tomorrow, but luckily its been postponed to next week. 1st Quarter Review..

Anyways, abt sch.. the biz class is interesting. the mass comm class is soo much more. In total, i got 4 projects. some grp/ some individual.

Am currently trying to find time to relax. My eyes feel so irritated. I think i got a fever. My head hurts.

Getting up early in the morning and rushing to school. Then going to the office. And on Mon, Wed and Fri, going back to school!

Actually it's fun. And it all goes down to me being practical.

Anyways... am currently working on the project proposal for the Broadcast module. I just completed 95% of the proposal for the law module.. OMG! Censorship!

Then came back home for lunch.. Rest awhile and leave for PSB. And i was late...

Lessons were interesting as usual... Love all the project works.. All the module got a project! So it seems like alot of work needs to be done. I tot of doing on film for the media law module! Hum..

Went down to JB with my family. Nothing really interesting. Except for the tattoo parlor at City Square...

The only thing interesting was that Domino pizza delivery guys were selling pizza just seconds away from the JB immigration. (leaving JB) They held up simple banners starting that personal pizza was sold for RM5. Isnt that good... And its actually warm.

Its Saturday.

I actually made an arrangement for dinner. But oops, i forgot all about it as i got caught up it other things.

At about 8+pm, my family decides to go to vivo; reaching at 9+pm. As soon as we got there, we went into a lift at the carpark to get to the mall. Moments before the lift door closes.... ALARM... the fire alarm goes off. And the door closes. Within seconds the lift displays a message and overrides the controls. The lift goes straight to the ground level. As soon as it does, the lift totally shuts off. The shutters at the entrance of the mall start to come down. Shutting with a thud. No one gets in or gets out!

Sounds dramatic? It actually happened.

At vivo, i took out my O2 to make a call. Then i realized something. I've got 21 missed calls. OMG. Then i remember about dinner!!!!!! Ahhhhhh!!!!!

Well, getting out of vivo at the end of the trip was another unpleasant experience. 40 minutes to reach from level 6 to the exit. What is wrong?

Well, it feels good to be home.

And i had something i had to say for sometime... KFC's Colonel Harland Sanders now wears an apron. Wow.

Another day. So much more exciting. Been data entering most of the day. Have lots of stuff on my "to do" list. Its really exciting to go through chunks of stuff and prepare the financial reports. And along the way, I've been learning more and more about the industry. And after 5, theres was an "on call" job" Bees! And yes i got good photos.

I am now at home, still trying to complete the data entry stuff. OMG. yawns... no i must not sleep now.... noooo.....

Unlike the earlier two days... i received more calls today. The website designers have got back to me... the design seems ok so far, yet a little out of balance.

--> So here is today.. Zai called, like finally. So we decided to meet up for a movie. So i took half day leave. Then meet Zai and Sebas... And both were late! Haha... So while waiting, i went down to Esplanade - affectionately known as "the durian" - Its been a long time since i went down to "Popcorn", used to frequent that shop and get lots of Japanese handbills and stuff. Today, nothing really seemed to attract my attention. Except for the "Casino Royale Poker Set".

After awhile, i meet Sebas and Zai.. then went down to the nearby GV. And then we got the tickets for a movie. ---> And guess wat, we saw "300". A really nice movie. I wonder if CK or Renoma is the sponsor.. hum.. Haha. Anyways, the movie has a really nice story. Very well done. The "oracle" scene where the gal fell into a trance like state was absolutely stunning. Wonderful movements and music. Such beauty and grace, unexpected in what i perceived as a "bloody" movie.

Soon after the movie... we all got onto the mrt... and guess what happened. I realized that my sms memory was full, so i started to delete some sms's. Then i received new messages --> the 4 lv class gathering was on monday! I totally missed it... cos my sms was full.. omg. This has taught me a great lesson.

Anywayz, i cant wait for school to start again. It seems so boring...

4am

Its now 4am. I kept tossing and turning that i juz decided that i have slept too long. What can i do at 4am? Hum... Check mail... Check out Microsoft Access 2007...

The weeks been going kinda fast. We had some minor shifting within the office. So it appears bigger and cleaner.

Tuesday night... job at a food establishment. Report: OMG! Cockroaches... dead ducks at the duck rice stall (trust me, it looks scary) ... More cockroaches.

Its interesting to get behind the scene of such places. Sometimes the situation may be too hard to digest! "Oops, i didn't know that!"

Wednesday... i went to the office late. Soon i learn of the approval of the new purchase. Kind of unexpected! ... going to work late is one thing, going to work late on the 7th is another! 7th is the day of the month that has lots of buzzing activity. And surprisingly, on the 7th, the company has made a new purchase, one that is long over due.

So after work, my parents and i went down to collect the purchase. Soon after, going home and then to 555, the temple my extended family calls it own. And today, there was a special prayer. And the mother goddess looked as beautiful as ever. . .

Another day, started off like any other.... off to work in the morning... then doing stuff at the office and soon after, TREMOR! Haha. Sadly i missed it! I was just outside the office when it happened, but i didnt feel a thing. The office and that entire side of the building started moving! Weird! It is the second time the building has moved in a few days! ~and for years i've been thinking that the building is sinking or something~ So much of cracks and gaps!

And i wonder . . .

Exams Over!

Finally, the exam's are over.

Todays exam seemed like a give away... surely much simpler than the comm.'s exam.
So now so relaxed... tot of going to c a movie. I wonder whats nice to watch now... or should i just get a DVD? Hum.

Anyways, i'll be meeting Zai and Sebas later for dinner... Long time no c the kids... I must visit KCP someday soon. Long time no c Mr Chua... And some more last year never go for teachers day....Then this year missed the first 4LV class gathering... heard theres one around March to May...

Today is the eve of a new month. So much has happened in this month. From shifting office to exams.

I just came back from the temple, my niece's ear piercing ceremony! OMG, that makes me sound old. Hum....

Anyways, i plan to have a tattoo. Been looking thru dozens of designs... finally... fell in love with a panther. the old panther. And i want to have the tattoo in a place where i can show it off.... hum

Before that, i have an exam for the film module! And die-die must try to get A!

CNY!

Wat a great holiday. I went down to JB with my family. Stayed at the ZON Regency Hotel (f.k.a. Eden Garden Hotel) The place is nice, There have been new shops and clubs added. So the place is very crowded. Sadly the roman spa was closed. But as a consolation... there still was the pool.

ZON, being a duty free shopping area, is seriously a great place to shop. ITS DUTY FREE!! Omg, the drinks are so freaking cheap. But sadly, you cant bring it out of ZON without paying tax. But if you're staying there, it is a great saving.

The trip seemed so fast. . .

What an interesting movie. I seriously loved the setting and costumes and all the props. But sadly, i found the story too weird. A King and a Queen. A problem. And a freaking sequence of events.

But still, it has a mystical charm. A truly interesting movie.

I took this picture while traveling in the back of a lorry, along a highway. Each car drove past us with such a style, all the headlights shining on us. Bright lights against a dark night.

This is a picture I took when I went down to Chinatown days before Chinese New Year. The place seemed to be full of activity. People rushing to buy goods, while students take a tour of the area. Amongst all this excitement, this artist is able to capture the scene, patiently. He has an eye for detail and carefully places each stroke. It is such a rare sight for me.

Wednesday. The day of the presentation for the film's module project. How so very exciting. I had to rush down to popular to get papers... Then get ink for my printers, find pictures to put into the report... Well the point is obvious. I should have been more prepared. I should not have assumed that next week was the presentation week!! Ahh!

The class begun as usual. 8 student today, including myself. And yet i still felt so nervous. Aiyoh, i know all these people, yet i so nervous... The presentation went on... but i know i could have done better.

Anyways, its just weeks to the exams. I've got so much to study...

POST 94!

Its been some time.. So much has happened. So much is planned.

The office has been "packed". The boxes are waiting. The place is question mark.

It quite a tense moment now. Several options have been planned, each causing some effect. For the moment, we can only wait.

And in all this confusion, i haven't got my mom a birthday gift.

Cafe.

Cafe Officially Closed

Its been about 3 year at Bedok North Ave 4. A place i used to rush to after school. The place our office moved to. A place where we decided to have a cafe.

Time seems to have passed so quickly. The cafe has seen many people working in it and many emotional moments. Many great memories.

It used to be an old pantry, seldom used. My family and i revamped it made it into a homely cafe, with the help of some relatives too. Keen attention was given to the fine details. A wonderful display of collections. Days and nights were spent working to create what we have today. Such was the humble beginning of the cafe.

Soon the business grew, from sandwiches to mixed rice and set lunches. It was only recently that i got involved in the cafe, after my o level exams. I learnt to make coffee and wonderful meals.

Now it has officially been closed. Will we move? Or .....

Either way, that feeling. Weird. Unexplainable.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I was at Genting to usher in the New Year... as usual, i love that place. Its cool. Really.

My family and i arrived there early in the morning on Sunday, New Years Eve. Soon we found ourselves having lunch at the Coffee Terrace. Soon after, checking in. I just couldn't wait for dinner at the Imperial Rama Restaurant at the Highlands Hotel...

Had such a good time at Genting. The dinner got us into the party's for free. But who can resist fireworks. . . at such close proximity. . . I guess safety was a secondary concern.

New Year's Day was just relaxing... The hydro bath therapy at the M Spa was just wonderful . . .
